Bass Pro Shops will take your vintage family photos,
if they show your ancestors living the outdoor life. They then display them throughout their new stores.
I sent them several recently, but just in case they are never seen again, I thought I would post them here.
My Grandpa Richard, great Uncle Ray and great Uncle Clarence, around 1925.
Matching pipes, boots and Model T's.
They must have been proud of their new outboard motor, it's a first generation Johnson and had about 3 horsepower.
My great Aunt Irene labled them "Bums" for the way they're dressed.

Don't know the woman on the left but the other two are my great Aunt Irene and Uncle Clarence. He was on leave from the Army in 1918, doing some target practice in preperation for going to France.
Camp can be boring.
No idea who this guy is.
Uncle Ray, Uncle Clarence and Aunt Irene, fishing from a home-made bridge. I believe this may be on a canal that leads into Sandusky Bay near Crystal Rock, OH.
On the left is my Grandpa Richard, don't know the other two.
Uncle Ray and Uncle Clarence. The clothes are almost two much to take in at once. Uncle Ray's knickers and socks are fit for the golf course. As long as I knew him, he dressed this same way, although he was in his 80's by then.
Big fish, but no idea what kind it is.
Mike thinks this is a carp of some kind, It's too ugly to be anything else.
Fish caught in Canada, 1927.
Another mystery family. But lots of fish.
Aunt Irene and Uncle Clarence.
He passed away in 1980, she in 1995.
I believe these are the brothers of my great-grandma Ella Studer. Her maiden name was Hankhammer and her parents came from Germany. This picture is from around 1885-1890.

More chipmunks had to die to prepare Uncle Clarence for fighting the dreaded Hun. 1918.

I love the fact that there are pictures of little boys and girls actually hunting with their guns!
I love old family pictures. :) I liked the one of "Aunt Irene" hunting, too. :D Quite politically correct... Thanks for the post!

Wow, love it!! :) :) :) Great post. :-D I LOVE old photos - even if I have no idea who is in them . :) They are just saturated with an era that is absolutely gone. Thanks for posting. I enjoyed it! :)

Wow, y'all have a fun "outdoor" group of photos! I love to look at our old family photographs. We have one of my great-(x3)-grandfather who fought during the War between the States set up on a pie safe in front of the Confederate battle flag in our dining room.:) It's fun to tell our company who he is. His son was named Johnston, and that is where my brother Johnson's name is derived. Yes, the "t" was left out, but that's another story...
I hope y'all are doing well! I enjoyed seeing pictures of your precious little girl! Maybe we can meet her soon. ~Jeri Beth
